IELTS or ‘International English Language Testing System’, a test of English language proficiency is jointly managed by the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, the British Council and IDP Education Australia, was established in 1989.

雅思，英文全称国际英语考试系统，是一个测试对英语熟练程度的考试。雅思考试系统成立于1989年，由剑桥大学ESOL考试中心，英国参议会和IDP 澳洲教育局共同管理。
